We operate through an extensive logistics network of rail-served destination terminals that we own and operate, as well as facilities operated by third parties. Strategically located throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Texas and Colorado, we are effectively positioned to reach all areas of unconventional completion activity ranging from the Permian and DJ basins to the Marcellus, Utica, Bakken and Eagle Ford shales. Our terminal locations are critical in providing frac sand close to the wellsite and reducing “last-mile” trucking costs for customers. Many of our distribution terminals are capable of handling unit trains, further reducing the cost of delivered sand for customers.
A growing percentage of the frac sand we produce is sold in-basin, and customers rely on Hi-Crush to provide the logistics needed for high-volume, time-sensitive delivery. Our distribution network allows us to better service customers’ short-notice needs in-basin and provide solutions to logistical challenges presented by the large volume of proppant typically required for each fracturing job.
We operate our distribution terminals with a focus on quality, reducing the handling of frac sand and doing extensive testing to ensure it meets and exceeds the API specifications. Customers rely on Hi-Crush’s terminal operations to source the right proppant at the right time.
