We operate through an extensive logistics network of rail-served destination terminals that we own and operate, as well as facilities operated by third parties. Strategically located throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Texas and Colorado, we are effectively positioned to reach all areas of unconventional completion activity ranging from the Permian and DJ basins to the Marcellus, Utica, Bakken, and Eagle Ford shales. Our terminal locations are critical in providing frac sand close to the well site and reducing the “last-mile” trucking costs for our customers. Many of our distribution terminals are capable of handling unit trains, further reducing the cost of delivered sand for our customer.
A growing percentage of the sand we produce at our production facilities is sold “in-basin” and our customers rely on Hi-Crush to provide the logistics needed for a high volume, time-sensitive delivery. Our distribution network allows us to better service our customers’ short-notice needs in basin, and provide our customers with solutions to the logistical challenges presented by the large volume of sand typically required for each fracturing job.
We operate our distribution terminals with a focus on quality, reducing the handling of the sand, and testing to ensure the sand meets and exceeds the API specifications. Customers rely on Hi-Crush’s terminal operations to source the right sand at the right time.
